As a manure processing company, Compovit converts animal manure (solid fraction of pig and poultry manure) into compost that is mainly exported to France.  The compost is highly suitable for increasing or maintaining the organic matter in the soil.  Due to the company's growth, they opened a new production facility on the industrial estate in Diksmuide.  At the site in Veurne, there is already an air group from CBgroep. 

AN OVERALL PACKAGE FOR COMPOVIT

START IN DESIGN PHASE

During the design phase of the new production halls, CBgroep joins Compovit's project and, together with the customer and the project developer, searches for the most appropriate and cost-effective solution for the composting company.  All parties involved are present at the first site meetings where CBgroep, as the environmental-technical partner, ensures the correct implementation of the best available purification techniques.  We think along with the necessary facilities in the shell construction phase and thoroughly study the plans in order to make optimum use of the available space.

During that design phase, we decide together with the project developer and the customer to place the air scrubbers for the two production halls in one room.  This means that both air scrubbers can use just one technical room.  Not only practical and space-saving, but also an investment saving.

PRODUCED IN BELGIUM AND INSTALLED WITH EXPERTISE

In order to ensure an optimal air purification for Compovit’s activities at their new site, CBgroep installs 2 air scrubbers with a 3-stage function, controlled by 1 technical room between the air scrubbers.  Both air scrubbers were produced in-house at CBgroep and transferred to Diksmuide, together with the shafts for the air supply.

On site, the air scrubbers and the technical room are welded together, installed and connected to the site.  CBgroep provides all concrete drillings, electricity supplies and piping necessary for the operation of the air scrubbers.

To complete the installation, CBgroep also placed the acid tank and pipes in a separate space just above the cellars that collect the waste water from the air scrubbers.  This waste water is purified by filter packages and reused for the further operation of the installation.

SYSTEM MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE

The systems installed at Compovit are permanently monitored by CBgroep using the PASmonitor.  This enables us to detect and remedy any defects in the operation of the installation.  Not only the technical operation of the system is checked, but also the effective yield of the air purification is provided by CBgroep.
