Heat exchanger for 80,000 chickens

CBgroep built 2 custom-made PP plastic heat exchangers for a new type of poultry house with ceiling ventilation.  The new stable of 40 metres wide and 100 metres long has a capacity of 80,000.  In order to increase the comfort of the large number of chickens, Sommen from Ulicoten (Netherlands) provided a ventilation system with accompanying fans and climate computer.

CBgroep HEAT EXCHANGER

Before the fresh air enters the house through the ceiling, it is preheated inside the heat exchanger. The conditioned fresh air from outside is brought to the chickens from the ceiling, with valves distributed over the entire surface of the house.  CBgroep was responsible for both the technical design and the construction of the heat exchanger in our workshop in Staden.  In addition, we remotely support the installer Instalec from Roeselare during site meetings in the development and optimisation before, during and after the installation.
