Nitrogen reduction figures Cattle aerator
The first Cattle aerators were installed last year, both on an existing and a new dairy farm.
After months of monitoring, Mircon's experts came up with the following results:
Ammonia stable: |
7 ppm |
Ammonia Cattle aerator: |
1 ppm |
Reduction percentage |
85,7% |
|
|
Productions of soil improver |
9,3 m3 per month |
Production nitrogen, fertiliser: |
352 kgN per month |
Consumption of sulphuric acid: |
891 litres per month |
The ammonia emission from the stable is 495 kg nitrogen per month, of which 351 kg nitrogen was captured and converted into fertiliser. This means an ammonia emission reduction of 70.9% for the dairy stable.
The system has already obtained 45% Flemish recognition and the official application for measurement and certification for 70% was submitted to the ILVO on 28 January 2022.
Are you a dairy farmer and are you looking for a reliable and watertight ammonia reduction system? CBgroep delivers “indisputable proof” for your ammonia reduction.
Investing in a Cattle aerator is a long term vision: a system that can evolve with you and offers answers for you and the next generation.
Stijn Crombez, nitrogen expert in Flemish livestock farming since 2007:
“The most expensive nitrogen-reducing measure is the one that turns out to be inadequate years after it has been put into operation, that cannot provide sufficient proof, that cannot be adapted and that has to be replaced.”
