Sustainable environmental solutions since 2007

Since 2007, we have been developing sustainable environmental solutions for industry and livestock.  We are especially known for purifying air: reducing odour, dust and ammonia emissions is our speciality.  Our installations are among the most sustainable of their kind.  With some 250 customers spread across Flanders, we know how to build state-of-the-art air purification plants like no other.

2007: The start of CBgroep

After 10 years of experience abroad, the current managing director Stijn Crombez decided to return to his home town of Staden.  In search of a technical challenge, he took over ‘Koeltechniek Degrave’: a local company specialised in the installation of refrigeration, freezing and climate control technologies.  A few alert livestock farmers in the region sounded out the interest in expanding the range to include air scrubbing installations.  An air scrubber manufacturer was sought as a partner and the first orders would follow before the end of 2007.

2009: in-house engineered air scrubbers

The team's knowledge and skills exceed those of the supplier.  The name has changed.  CBgroep becomes a fully-fledged production and installation company.  Additional investments in machines and staff ensure that our own air scrubbers will be built from the summer of 2009 onwards.

2010: Online monitoring

In 2010, we developed a first online monitoring system.  Via a built-in GPRS antenna, about 10 parametres are transmitted to CBgroep 1x per hour.  The operator receives a weekly computeriszed logbook by e-mail to replace the handwritten version.  Warnings, alarms and notifications are transmitted.

2013: development of the draineater

In various European countries, innovations in the field of air purification are at a low ebb.  In contrast, CBgroep continues to make funds available for research and development.  Partnerships with specialised laboratories are entered into from which the Draineater® was developed at the end of 2013: a selective nitrite removal system suitable for any type of biological air scrubber that reduces waste flows by 90%.

2014: PASmonitor sees the light of day

The installations of CBgroep are not only located throughout Flanders, but also in Wallonia, France and England.  In order to manage the data flow of operating data from the installation, the PASmonitor® was created.  This is a data processor and Cloud server where both the operator and the service technician can read out all the values in real time.  The PASmonitor® includes a file library where all manuals, water analyses, maintenance reports and weekly logs can be easily consulted.

2015: First exchanger + first industrial scrubber

The first industrial air scrubbers are produced and installed.  CBgroep is increasingly active in the industrial sector.  The range is extended with plastic that can exchange both cold and heat in air flows.  CBgroep is increasingly becoming a long-term partner for its customers.

2018: CBgroep moves to a new site

In September 2018, we moved to a completely new site at the industrial estate ‘De Linde’'in Staden with spacious production department and more modern accommodation to optimise our production capacity and professionalise the equipment of employees.

2019: Online Service Interface

The online monitoring system is incorporated into the OSI (Online Service Interface), in which all CBgroep plants are reviewed on a weekly basis in consultation with service technicians, project manager and maintenance partner Mircon.  As a result, the operator no longer has to worry about the air purification plants.

2020: Poultry aerator

Cattle farmers must comply with increasingly stringent environmental standards.  After successful projects in the pig and poultry farming, CBgroep also strongly believes in its added value in reducing ammonia from cattle.  The technical team combined their experience, strengths and knowledge and thus created the cattle aerator.  The first unit was started up in April 2021.

2021: Cattle aerator

Cattle farmers must comply with increasingly stringent environmental standards.  After successful projects in the pig and poultry farming, CBgroep also strongly believes in its added value in reducing ammonia from cattle.  The technical team combined their experience, strengths and knowledge and thus created the cattle aerator.  The first unit was started up in April 2021.

2021: Acquisition L.D.A.

As of May 11, 2021, CBgroep and L.D.A. join forces in the field of air purification, maintenance on air scrubbers (in cooperation with Mircon) and plastic constructions.

2023: Acquisition KWB Air Systems

As of March , we are taking over the activities of our Dutch colleague KWB Air Systems. Through KWB's network of dealers, we will be able to scale up our production of high-tech air purificationsystems. The systems have German approval (DLG certificate) and several Dutch patents. So we remain committed to carefree purification, at home and abroad. 

In april 2023, the administative transfer of DLG 6243 certificate has been completed. CBgroep is official service partner and dealer.
